The Pink Room Story just keeps getting better.
Turns out our Pink Rooms are leading to the creation of another Pink Room – and having implications beyond what we ever imagined.
Here’s the latest: The general manager of the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali Indonesia recently spoke with a representative of InterContinental Milwaukee, which features two Pink Rooms.
The resort owners had seen an article about the InterContinental’s Pink Rooms in HOTELS Magazine. As you might know, a donation is made to ABCD – After Breast Cancer Diagnosis – every time a guest stays at one of the two InterContinental Milwaukee Pink Rooms.
The wife of one of the owners of the Baruna Bali hotel has breast cancer, so the HOTELS story obviously struck a chord with him. That led resort officials to contact Marcus Hotels & Resorts – and lo and behold, the Baruna Bali will now feature a “Pink Suite.”
It’s the same concept as the Pink Room, with every stay leading to a donation being made to a local oncology hospital.
The story doesn’t end there. The Baruna Bali folks had plenty of questions about our process, and many of them involved ABCD. We shared that it’s a great organization that supports an incredibly worthwhile cause.
The research has led the Baruna Bali leadership to push for the creation of a similar organization in their city.
